SC125 steel in fossil walrus scales
A new razor in SC125 steel, differentially heat treated. The scales are fossil walrus rib. I stabilized the rib in clear epoxy resin, removed the sides of the rib to expose the resin cast marrow, and then cut it lengthwise to make 2 matched scales. The walrus rib comes from Deniz at Mermaid Supplies.
The hamon is a little closer to the edge than I anticipated, but shouldn't be a problem for the next 200 years of use.
