Default SC125 steel in fossil walrus scales

A new razor in SC125 steel, differentially heat treated. The scales are fossil walrus rib. I stabilized the rib in clear epoxy resin, removed the sides of the rib to expose the resin cast marrow, and then cut it lengthwise to make 2 matched scales. The walrus rib comes from Deniz at Mermaid Supplies.

The hamon is a little closer to the edge than I anticipated, but shouldn't be a problem for the next 200 years of use.

Nice hamon and great looking coloration on the scales. Love it.

I keep wandering what you'll come up with next. Love the scales.

Here is the above razor with the matching brush.
    This was a multi-national project.

I've shaved ten times with this razor.

I have to say the SC125 takes one of the best edges I have ever encountered. It is a joy to use.

First time seeing this razor. That is a beauty. The scales looked a little more tapered which I like.

No rule says you can't have the hamon closer to the edge, Bruno.
