    Default Filarmonica 8/8ths Rescaled

NOS Filarmonica 14 re scaled in ebony and brass .
The scales are about 2.5mm in thickness and bevelled.

A lot of effort went into this but it was worth it .

    Excellent, Joe.

Love the B&W ebony, done a few in it, myself.

That wedge is impressive. So thin at the end.

    Thanks guys.
This is as near to perfect as I have gotten.. I'm talking perfect under magnification
The geometry of the blade was excellent too. The bevel is so fine that I did all the work on the 5k and then straight to a Tomo slurry on the Ozuku. Reports back are that the edge is amazing.

Gorgeous Fili, Joe! Your scale design, pinning and brass-lined wedge are what I'm shooting for on my own re-scales. The wedge in ebony sandwiched in brass looks super classy. I think I need to have this page open on my bench on my next one-thanks for the inspiration!
