Joseph Rogers & Sons dreadnaught
A Joseph Rogers & Sons 7/8+ near wedge with a fancy beveled spine and seldom seen dreadnaught point. The blade has been restored with a glazed finish and the scales are bone with a black horn wedge and brass beehive collars. The camel bone blanks and collars are from Austin Kennedy. Some before and in process pictures are included.

Thanked: 4827Pretty flawless. How thick are the scales?
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I was wondering the exact same thing. Karl is the sensei of bone, whereas I'm just at the grasshopper/karate kid level. Beautiful restore as always, Karl!
edit: Just to add that I look to BOTH of you masters for inspiration in working with bone, Shaun (even though I've turned to wood for the time being).Last edited by ScoutHikerDad; 06-12-2019 at 02:01 AM.
