This was a fun restore of an old stub tail
The is the Steelwork
From the before pics and so USB shots of the "Stains"
First Pass at 80 grit
Cleaned up and polished to 600 grit
Forced Patina put back on and ready for Scale work

Some Honey Horn
I used a simple old fashioned pattern I have done in the past
Fitting the faux ivory wedge
Brass pins and Domed SS washers
Ready for pinning and honing

Bevel set on the Chosera 1k, Chosera 5k & 10k followed and a final finish with my Select Grade Coticule
Finally done sitting up Tight and Straight and heading home

Thanked: 4826I really like the look of forced patina on old blades, and they don’t come much older. Nice work on keeping the scales satin ish enough to stick with the older looking them.
