Ocean Silver Steel Rescale in Inlace Acrylester "The Abyss" Pattern
So I ordered some Inlace Acrylester months ago to try something different, but I wasn't sure what to do with it. Then this Ocean Silver Steel came to me in a restoration lot, raised its hand and yelled "Pick me!" over and over. The material was quite easy to work, sand and polish, if a little softer and "gummier" than other acrylics I've handled. Stainless cup collars and a black acrylic wedge to complete it.
Other than a recent Wostenholm in bone, I've done a number of synthetic rescales lately. I'm missing wood grain and the smell of Tru-Oil, so I think I'll be turning back in a more natural direction for several more I've got lined up. Happy New Year! SHDThere are many roads to sharp.

Beautiful work and a match made in heaven. That material, seems to me, is a mix of space and ocean. I really like it. It reminds me of the “Max” scales I have.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
