Roberts & Son / Amsterdam
Roberts & Son / Amsterdam / Cast Steel
Unpinning this was quite strange because i drilled straight through the fat pin and turned it into a tube which left me back at square one.. The very large dommed collars didnt wanna budge..
I will update with th progress..

I did a razor with pins like you describe just a few weeks ago. Here is a link to it with some pictures of the pins. https://sharprazorpalace.com/custom-...8-marsden.html

I remember that Monster blade.... Fatter pins are useful when pinning old rosettes.. I have selection, 2mm rip at the edges when peening or at least mine did ..Could be cheap metal , but the 1.8mm brass rods are spot on.. Nickel Silver at 1.8 is not so common but i haven't ventured past ebay yet..
Thanks

Impressive set ..
Polished these up in situ before unpinning but they still need a little attention.. They have been re-domed, the support collars are solid..

Finished up this today.. Gave it a sweet bevel......Honed on the Ozuku ,full Progression, HHT-ing..
It is a beautiful piece of steel in regards to its looks, feel, qualities on the hone..Definitely a special one..
