A 13/16 Joseph Elliot near wedge with a fancy spine. At first I thought this would be a pretty straight forward restore but close examination of the back face showed that at sometime in this razors life someone started to grind on the back face in the heel area. This created a hollowed out area and washed out some of the detail where the tang joins the heel. Looking at the in process pictures you can see the grinder did not initially even touch that area of the blade. The tape just provides a quick reference so I do not accidently grind back too far. I was worried I would lose the heel before it cleaned up but it all worked out. Restored in a glazed finish with the original re-dyed scales and lead wedge.
