Tillotson's Celebrated Razor. This razor likely dates 1840 -1860. A 13/16 near wedge with an arris spine and double notched tang. It is restored in a glazed finish. Received as just a bare blade it is scaled in period correct honey horn with a lead wedge and brass collars and pins. This family of Sheffield cutlers dates back to 1774. A New York office was established in 1840 and liquidated in 1860.
