    Default Bengall Customised

    Restored & Customised this Bengall..

A thick hollow grind 7/8ths.. Contrasting scales from a single piece of Ox horn & bronze lined wedge.
Each pin head is dense nickel silver as a long piece was conformed to bulbus peening..

Honed up on the Ozuku Karasu . Probably definitely a great shave ahead.
    Thanks
    Joseph ..

Nice job with that horn. It’s a nice razor. I do like the brand, grind and size.

I love the way you do your lined wedges. May I suggest a video?

Ditto on the liners. That adds a nice touch.

Nice! I dig the scales. Goes to show that some differences are good with natural stuff.
What does the blade etch say?

Pretty stout grind for a hollow, what would you estimate the manufacturing date of this razor to be? In another thread (PaulFLUS's Wade and Butcher Celebrated restore) we were discussing the fact that it seems people were hollow grinding (as in using two different sized wheels) before the machinery was there to do it consistently and easier. Looks like this razor might be a candidate for a something like that given the relative thickness of the grind. As always impressive work btw, the lined wedge always looks high class.

Thanks for all the kind words..
The blade face reads " Ground Hollow Extra" & the reverse tang reads "T.R Cadman & Son's Sheffield Eng:" I cannot recall seeing England abbreviated like that before. Its age could be anywhere from 1890 up to the 1960's i think.

The scales are really flawless , not one scratch mark and purely straight , i have upped my horn game recently because i now have better understanding of Ox horn and in turn will boost me ahead on my Buffalo horn game.. (It's all a game)

It is quite thick at the bevel end like a heavy rattler grind.
