Thanked: 13245Custom Build J.Nowill
One of the most stressful builds I have done in some years
Turquoise Recon Stone with Black .030” G10 liners Thinned down to .120"
Turquoise wedge for the layered look .055 at the end
Nickel Silver pins with SS outer washers, I had to use nylon inner washers because of the fragility of the stone.
Honing was Chosera 1-5-10 with the new 9-Ball Slate as a finisher.

Thanked: 4826That has to be the most interesting build I’ve seen in a long time.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Did you get the stone pre-polished or did you polish it up yourself? I am thinking along the same lines for my son who is thirteen and will start shaving soon. I was originally thinking about just the wedge. He and his buddy are rock and mineral hounds and that could be a nice touch. It looks great!

Thanks Coach
I did all the polishing, this is Recon Stone, basically 50-60% stone mixed with Resin to make it workable
I comes in dozens of different stone/looks
I use it quite a bit for wedges, I won't do it for scales without a G10 liner way to heavy, way to Fragile"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"
