    It's good stuff, it's actually closer to the old Sheffield "Silver Steel" than not (Silver Steel didn't have any silver but it was the higher luster from the added chrome which garnered it it's name). Jerry Stark used to make a lot of his razors from it, he had a 52100 line and some razors made in D2. Are you forging to shape or total stock removal?

    It's forged to shape. So far I really like the steel. I haven't shaved with it yet, but I plan to put it into my rotation next Sunday.
