    Default KORAAT QUICKIE

I've had this nice Koraat for a few years and it was time for a refresh. Original front scale was cracked through so I replaced with these timber scales I had on the shelf. Sanded 'em then applied two coats of CA on the inside and four or so coats of Tru Oil outside. Made a bone wedge and finished with solid stainless collars. Razor was buffed with blue compound then hand polished with Maas. To be honest, I'm not sure a modern style razor like this suits the timber, hopefully it grows on me. A beautifully ground razor, easy to hone and gives as close a shave as I can get.

While I was at it, I sanded and coated my Japanese kitchen knife handles with Tru Oil and they look bloody amazing

Ulrik makes great razors. His 14 2.0 is absolutely phenomenal. Takes a great edge.
