    Cool Custom Restore Monserrat "Shorty"

    Monserrat Shorty Custom Restore:

    Kirinite Scales at .105”
    Black g10 wedge at .055 on the end
    Nickel Silver pins with SS reversing lock washers
    Brass internal bearing washers
    Honing Chosera: 1-5-10
    Nakayama with Tomo Nagura finish

    Nice work. I assume this was a shorty save from a crack or chip? Boy, that one really has a cleaver look being short and that wide.

    I have to assume the same Paul, it came to me, already shortened, however it was in full sized scales which makes them prone to slipping through and cutting ya
    I am not sure, but I think my customer bought it like that..

    Shorty's are a thing now in some of the FB groups, I actually have two of them in for restore at the moment
    The second is a W&B that I just re-cut a Notch

    I think they have become popular with people like myself that have facial hair to shave around... Who knows
