Thanked: 8Joseph Allen cleaver
I got this at an antique store in Cheyenne, WY this weekend. It measures from 7/8 to 8/8 from heel to toe (respectively). I didn't spend much time at all sanding/polishing... nor do I know how much effort will go into that aspect.
I do know that after honing (had to use 3 layers tape) and maybe 5 minutes on the strop, I was able to do ATG & XTG on the side of my face with only steam towel and hand soap. I was too anxious to do the whole prep.
That will come later. I also picked up (except for the scales) an almost pristine W & B w/barber's notch, Union Razor, and a '32' Antelope razor. With the exception of the W/B, all need quite a bit of clean up.
