Default Joseph Elliots with bone handle

Never again Everyone in our house now knows, how terrible bone can smell The funny is, I dont worked in the house, no I was outside. This argentine cattle bones are very hard and dense, so it is really hard to work with. And if you cut and sand them in the garden, look from witch direction the wind come

    But I like the result:

Very nice work! Yeah, the smell. I once mad the mistake to sand bone-scales in the cellar - nearly got me kicked out by my parents

Looks nice. Maybe the stink is one of the reasons we don't see more scales from it?

How you mean that? Do you had seen other colored bone scales?
I think the main reason, why the work with bone is a little tricky is, that I dont found a source for bone plates. The greatest problem is to cut the flat pieces out of the bones. Because of the heat it stinks horrible. Also the work with the belt sander, to made them really flat, cost a lot of time and dust.
After that, the working with it, is not very different do an exotic hardwood. When you sand the scales with water from hand, you can do this in the house without smelling problems.

    Thumbs up

Wow! That is a bootiful razor. Love the lines of both the scales and the blade. Nice one.
