Two Dubl Ducks
This is a set I just completed for a member here. The original scales were cracked. The new ones are walnut with recycled logos. Enjoy the pics.

Thanks for the compliment.
Use #764 of acetone... disolving scales. Removing the brass from old scales is simple and easy once they've been turned into mush! LOL
Attaching them securely to the new scales without too much glue showing, on the other hand, is not a walk in the park.

These do look great! I always thought it would be a shameful act to get rid of the original scales even if they were warped or had other damage ... you proved that a duck can be rescaled nicely ... and save the original art ... nice touch!
