    Default Two Dubl Ducks

This is a set I just completed for a member here. The original scales were cracked. The new ones are walnut with recycled logos. Enjoy the pics.

Very nice! Those look beautiful and the gold logos look excellent on the wood scales.

    Thanks for the compliment.
Use #764 of acetone... disolving scales. Removing the brass from old scales is simple and easy once they've been turned into mush! LOL

Attaching them securely to the new scales without too much glue showing, on the other hand, is not a walk in the park.

NICE work. Scales and blade look great. I love that you recycled the ducks.

These do look great! I always thought it would be a shameful act to get rid of the original scales even if they were warped or had other damage ... you proved that a duck can be rescaled nicely ... and save the original art ... nice touch!
