I found a necro post yesterday, I forget where. When I find one I like to up the ante with an even older necro post. This is it.
The OP cut down the blade but kept the scales the same length. I guess the third pin and inlay might have made that difficult.
The tail of the razor, scales, 3 pins, the maker's inlay....pretty neat. And the name: Gracie, a hallowed name in Jiu-jitsu."Call me Ishmael"

My 'career' in BJJ ended quickly with one of the Enoue brothers tossing me over his head like a ragdoll. I was training in Honolulu with Relson Gracie. I was in my 40's, the oldest guy in the class by far. My son went with me and was introduced as a young teen to BJJ and he still trains today in his early 40's. It was really fun and I learned an extremely important lesson in the first class. I quickly lost the burden of toughness (at 210 lbs and some fighting behind me) when a guy named Celso schooled me. He taught me the value of Gracie JJ in less than a minute. I think it was something like a double arm bar. The guy weighed about 140.

I hear you.
Not the easiest sport to be in.
My shoulders are in need of surgery so I had to stop too.
I miss it everyday.
