Thanked: 0Before and After
I purchased this Wade and Butcher razor off eBay with a "not so great" edge.
I took it to a local knife sharpening shop, and surprisingly they do this kind of work and also had straights for sale. He repaired the edge and took most of the rust off, and im pretty happy with the result. It shaves better then any other razor i've tried.
I would have preferred if he worked a little more on the blade to get it to a better condition, but its not too bad for the price he charged. I would also like to put new scales on these.
Just wanted to share photos...

Thanked: 124Wow. Can you post the name of that shop? That's a good resource to have for when I get a razor with a chipped edge. I don't want to do that job by hand again.

Thanked: 3Nice chopper!! You can prepare food with that thing!!
However, I would keep the scales. Just re-pin and clean them up! They look to me like a nice set of horn scales! But thats just me!
