Greaves... Carbon Fiber... Put it together...
Here's a member's Greaves. Nice razor. He wanted it cleaned up but not a huge overhaul so I basically polished it up for a while with a couple methods and it turned out really nicely. Slapped this B!+^# in some carbon fiber scales with solid brass domed washers and all pins peened (I've come full circle in preference lol) and it's about to get honed! Tapered wedge, blade centers perfectly. Nice. As always, comments and criticism are welcomed!

Awesome looking scales Alex....absolutely gorgeous. And I love what you've done with the blade. It looks much better now than when I sent it to you, yet it still has some of the character a 160 year old blade should have, if that makes any sense at all.
I'll let you guys know how it shaves when it makes its way back to Ohio.

I got the razor in the mail yesterday. When I opened the package, I was in awe. Alex, the razor looks absolutely beautiful. Words cannot describe the joy I felt.
After my shower, I stropped and shaved with the razor. This was the best shave I have ever had. Smooth, gentle, and oh so nice. I am very, very , very pleased with the razor. The CF scales are not lightweight at all, nor are they too heavy. And they look great in person, too. You guys who are thinking about it should go ahead and send Alex a blade.
Once again, then you Alex for the photos and the restoration. This was quite a transformation for an old, abandoned razor I found in an antique shop.
