Default Wade & Butcher with an unknown wood

This wood is very special. Unfortunately i dont know, what it is. If some one can help me with this information, it would be great.
The wood has an wonderfull grain but isn´t very hard. Some parts really soft, others a little bit harder. It is very light and break very easy. So I must use first time a brass liner. Several coats of CA protect the wood against water and give them additional stability. The blade is a Wade & Butcher 6/8 hollow ground. The spacer is from brass and vulcanfibre.

No, its not Amboynia. I have her some nice pieces of amboynia. Its much more harder and heavier, than this wood.
