Default Admiral's and Wester Bros. Optimo

First up, a Wester Bros. Optimo in purpleheart with a faux ivory wedge that I finally finished. The blade was in good shape - in fact, I don't think it had ever been honed - but the original green scales had shrunk until the blade wouldn't close.

The second is an Admiral's that I picked up on Ebay a while back. It had homemade wood scales that looked pretty rustic, and quite a bit of tarnish, but no serious pitting. I polished the blade some, but didn't take the spot out of the middle because I didn't want to lose the elaborate engraving on the blade (which was already pretty faint).

I scaled this one in lacewood, with a brass wedge. After a bit (all right, a lot) of honing, she has proven to be a very comfortable shaver.

Love the wood grain on the second one a bit more than the first. Great looking razors, thanks for sharing.
