8/8 W&B Revisited
This is my prized 8/8 Wade & Butcher Wedge (1/4 hollow at MOST). It was one of the first razors I restored. I have a tattoo of it on my right forearm. Anyway, looking back on it, it had some problems. The pins were adjustable which are fine, but I prefer the look of other pins better. The spacer was waaaay too wide and not tapered at all also. So I took it apart and made a new wedge- now it is Lacewood and tapered! The pins are brass/SS/brass stacked washers with nickel silver peened pins. I have been using these often you might see! The purpleheart scales aren't perfect in terms of smoothness and fluidity I know, but since they were one of my first sets and I made them completely by hand, it is nostalgic in some way, so I didn't fix them. Anyway, I also wanted to take some nice pictures of this one, so here they are. Again, comments and constructive criticism are welcomed. Thanks!

Thanked: 1903Every time I watch one of your postings, I get the urge to invade Rhode Island.
Failing that, I guess I'll just settle with watching. Piece of art, Alex. Truly, utterly beautiful.
