Default IXL Wolstenholm regrind by Philadelp <Alex>

This is an 11/16ths IXL Wolstenholm that I acquired from Alex several months back. When he bought his grinder, I told him that when he got the time, I'd interested in having him regrind this baby for me. Well, he did this one as well as 3 others. I'll get around to posting them when I'm finished with them. While he was at it... he repinned this as well. The scales are Gaboon ebony (which are the ones that Alex had made and mounted originally). Oh... he also replaced the wedge while he was at it. I tell you... Alex definitely has a way with the razors.

Disclaimer: When I sent it back to Danny I told him if he wanted them polished that he needed to do it since I was so busy, so what you see is straight off the grinder unless Danny polished them at all! They could be mirror but it would take some more work.

And to be honest... I think that All of the blades Alex sent back look really great with the 'grind' marks. Kinda like the factory surface. I could have sanded and polished but... why?

    Good job on these Alex!

Thanks Danny! I actually prefer to not have a mirror polish since then every mark is visible, but it was just a disclaimer! lol

I gotta concur here, I love mirror finishes on other peoples razors
On my personal ones they dive me to drink with the first tiny scratch.....

I have a couple with a mirror finish and have to agree with gssixgun. They drive me to drink with the smallest scratch (OK, maybe, I just needed an excuse for a drink).
