Frederick Reynolds with Paua/Acrylic Scales
Here is my Frederick Reynolds in Paua scales. This isn't 100% Paua though, it is an acrylic backing, thin Paua veneer (real shell) then another clear acrylic layer on top. I got it as a sample and wanted to see if I liked it better than the 100% real Paua. I don't. It looks great and has good depth, but there's something about a full slab of shell that can't be matched. Anyway, tapered G10 spacer et al. This one will probably be for sale. Any interested parties? Boosh!

Yeah, the material looks good, but I'll take your word on the "feel" difference; I don't have shell scales (yet ) on any of my razors. The shape is unorthodox, though. Not sure if I'd like them. WHat do they look like in an actual grip? What's the balance like?
