    Very classy Max.
The results always reflect the effort.

Whoa Mama that is one SWEET RESTORE.

I found this older post after picking up a Twin Works 415 of my own. I love the look of the scales and haven't seen alot of these 415's around, and its' a HENCKELS right......Snagged it on EBAY for less than a single ANDREW JACKSON. Not sure if my 415 is older or newer but I noticed a few differences.

My 415 does not have the third/middle pin. Also, the inlay on the scales of yours is a bit different. Mine has the Henckels logo very faintly inscribed, orignally I thought that the inlay maybe fell out but I dont think there was ever one there.

Lastly, the markings on the left of the blade are a bit different. Anyways, I am just now getting into honing and a long ways to go before I attempt restorations. I can only hope that one day my Henckels TwinWorks Discovery 415 looks as CRISP and CLEAN as yours MAX. Outstanding job sir!

Also, how much would a restore like this cost if I were to send it to someone???? In my opinion my 415 is in pretty good shape but can't hold a candle to Max's restored beauty. Just curious! Thanks

Yours had the same inlay, only it got lost . Probably fell off somewhere in the past or the previous owner decided to keep the inlay and get rid of the razor.

We don't discuss pricing, valuations etc... of any kind. You could contact any of the members offering restoration services if you like. They can be found in the classifieds under 'members services'.

Actually the razor has suffered serious abuse - that hone wear is equivalent to may be few thousand years of proper use and maintenance.

    That would be me

I've had this razor now for nearly 3 years since the thread was from May 2008. LOL. It's still going strong, although I had to refresh the edge a few times.
