Joseph Rodgers & Son goes Bocote
Cleaned this oldie up and she turned out to be a beauty. Hard to imagine sometimes that razors with way over a century worth of history can turn out pretty much like new.
Bocote scales with silver/brass washers with brass pin.
Nice subtle smiley edge and spine. Blade takes a really nice and sharp edge.
Healthy 1/8 hollow Joseph Rodgers & Son, Cutlers to their Majesties, N°6 Norfolk Street, Sheffield.
Enjoy.Last edited by Maximilian; 10-26-2008 at 03:51 AM.

Thanked: 13245I like the look of the lines on those scales Max, Very clean work !!!!!
The wood in those pics looks almost more like Bocote' rather than Cocobolo, was it a super light colored piece???? I like the look, I just, have never got one that light colored....

Looks good Max. The Bocote almost looks textured like deer antler.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 25Those look great. You had a really nice piece of wood to use for scales. They compliment the blade nicely! Congrats!
