Two tone scales
This was a re-scale of 2 Bengalls for a mate of mine. No work on the blades - So no pics of them
I'm sure these won't be to everyone's taste. The request was Purpleheart one side and Blackheart Sassafrass on the other. I wasn't sure about it initially but they kinda grew on me.
Pics are in different light to try & give an idea of what the finish looks like but photography's not my strong point.
It's a hand burnished oil finish. Scales were sanded to 240 grit then the oil rubbed in with progressive grits up to 2000. It's a subtle gloss but at certain angles it has a warm glow that shows the grain well & feels great to touch. The wedges are Asiatic Buffalo horn.
