So I tried to tie them together somewhat with the same style of brass lined wedges and hardware... Off to the hones !!!!

Very nicely done indeed - the tappered spacer with the brass liner is beautiful! As is the two-toned washers on the pins! Excellent work, Glen!

I love working with Purpleheart, it is a very well behaved wood
I only heated it just enough to bring out the purple tint on these...
