Default Scalloped 7/8 IXL in Bolivian Rosewood

    Here's one I finished today.

The last 7/8 Wostie I did had fancy scales. While nice, they seemed a little too fancy for the blade (kind of distracting, to me at least).

This one I wanted to do something simple for the scales, as to compliment the blade rather than distract from it. I went with bolivian rosewood and acrylic for the wedge, with #1 and #0 washers. Now that it's done though I can't take my eyes off of the scales

Any comments or criticisms are appreciated.

I really need to get better at taking pictures.

Very nice.. has a 'distinguished' kinda look to it. The blue spacer sets it off as well.

I did two razors with honduran rosewood last month and I was really pleased with the wood. It was strong, easy to work and the natural grain really comes to life under a coat of epoxy.

Gorgeous! I think you executed your idea and design quite well.

By the way, I'd be willing to put up some photos of the razor for you. All you have to do is send to me for several weeks. You know, so I can capture your craftmanship properly.

The blue spacer features quite strongly but I like it. Overall the balance works I think. Nice one

Absolutely beautiful. If you honestly feel distracted-please PM me and I'll be glad to take it off your hands.
