    Elf shoe maybe... but it 'dwarfs' the DePews.

    Great job! Your scale design is better, IMO, than the stock ones seen on the original DePew's.

    That looks great! It must feel very satisfying to shave with something you've made.
    What's the process like once you've shaped the blade, do you have to harden it again?
    I'd love to have a go.

    1. normalized twice, heated to nonmagnetic then let air cool
    2. heated till nonmagnetic then a little more then quenched in pre heated oil
    3. tempered in my toaster oven.
    4. ground blade to size

    I am a noob to this and still learning.
