What's the process like once you've shaped the blade, do you have to harden it again?
I'd love to have a go.

I more of less followd the process that JoshEarl has outlined.

1. normalized twice, heated to nonmagnetic then let air cool
2. heated till nonmagnetic then a little more then quenched in pre heated oil
3. tempered in my toaster oven.
4. ground blade to size

I am a noob to this and still learning.
