Default Depews "The Perfect Razor" 1882

This is a Depews made in the USA in 1882 they were advertised as the "Perfect Razor".They are excellent quality razors, and exceptional shavers.I have several of them, and they are all excellent shavers, all that I have seen are the same size, they were known as monkey tail razors. They were also know to be very easy to get an edge on,and to hold it.They are getting harder to find(for me anyway)in good condition. This one has the original scales, but with modern adjustable pin/I had to take it apart to rework it.This one had moderate corrosion, but no hone wear,it was probably new,or very close to it.I shaved with it this morning, and it is exceptional...........Thought some of you might like to see it.Best Regards gary

    0.538 Blade width
2.168 Edge length Very handy and well balanced ,lots of fun to shave with extra smooth close shave

The restore is beautiful. I agree that decent-looking examples are difficult to find.
