    Default Strange Looking Razor

That is indeed a very strange looking razor. Is the metal the razor made out of stainless steel or is it high carbon steel?
If by chance the razor is no good for shaving, it will be excellent for fighting....just kidding!!
Good luck with the razor and may you have many many excellent shaves with it!!

the blade is high carbon and high polished
    the handle frame is titanium

it is a shaver (but im sure if you had to it would do fine in other ways)

I too am curious about the weighting. The tang looks very thick, which it would have to be to fit the scales over the ironwood but it may be perspective as you say. It is gorgeous though, I pretty much swore out loud when I saw it. SOL.
