7/8 W&B in Birdseye Maple
7/8 quarter hollow Wade & Butcher to a "very shiny " finish. Dremel + hand sanded 60 to 2000.
Birdseye Maple scales, epoxy and poly finish. In cutting and shaping the scales I was hoping to use the word "bulbous" to describe them. I really like that word and don't get to use it often enough.
Brass wedge and pins with fancy shmancy washers.
Test shaved this morning and it's a sweetie. The balance is nice too.
Thanks again to SRP for sharing all of the info and inspiration drive us in this "hobby".
Any comments, criticisms, etc. are welcomed.

I just love seeing razors like this. What a fantastic job. I love everything about it, but particularly, I think the way the scales taper to a delicate narrow up at the shoulder shows a real care for precision.
Let's see another one Bubba!

Awesome looking razor, but I have to compliment the photography as well. Nicely done.

The "fancy schmancy" washers complement the wood scales without being overbearing -- a real nice touch. A really great looking razor overall.

Besides the fact that I just like the asthetics of the blade the attention to detail is great. Your pinning is really precise and the collars are an excellent accent. AND the brass wedge pits perfect.
Outstanding job !
even better is to hear it shaves great too

Nice one BB. Love the figure in that maple and the 'extreme' taper. Bulbous maximus.

Thanked: 1212Beautiful. For me, it has a sort of '20s "private eye" atmosphere. Probably the smoky look of that maple, in combination with the pins. Outstanding!
