C.V. Heljesttand N°4 ~ Paualicious
What we have here is a C.V. Heljestrand #4 in excellent condition.
The scales consists of a top layer of green tinted acrylic, a center layer of real shell (Paua veneer) and black acrylic backing.
True that 100% real Paua is hard to beat as any other 100% real natural material but it comes with a much higher price tag.
That's why I just love these scales. It's affordable compared to the 100% real Paua, stunning, has lots of depth, contrasting reflections and colors. Pictures don't even do it justice really.
It also balances out nicely with the C.V heljestrand which is an amazing shaver. It gives a nice heft to the overall weight. I will definitely be offering these in my line up as I personally think they're gorgeous for not being totally 100% real shell. It's also a change to the wooden scales we are so used to.
Grind: 5/8 Full Hollow
Total weight: 1.4 Oz
Total cutting edge: 2.75 inches
Scales: Green Paua Sheet (combination real Paua w/acrylic laminate)
Pins: Nickel silver
Washers: Nickel & Brass
Wedge: Black acrylicLast edited by Maximilian; 12-18-2008 at 11:13 PM.

Max, I don't know if I could shave with this one. I would be so happy to have it I wouldn't be able to stop jumping long enough to shave with it! Just love your work

Magnifico Max ! Great concept.
Are the layers glued or simply pinned up.?The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
