Rare Frameback in 100% Paua
This razor is awesome. Only one like it I have ever seen. The tang says "Mre Fse D'armes et Cycles St. Etienne" and I believe refers to an armory at 'St. Etienne' wherever that is- France I think. I've seen two other razors marked St. Etienne and have always wanted one. You can check out all the writing on the tang. I needed to reshape the point because of a crack, but kept it faithful to what the original shape was minus one small indent. It's actually still got around a 3" edge and before I took out the crack it was a very long blade. Anyway, make sure to look at the tang too and the shaping along the bottom. Scales are 100% real Paua. Again I'll say that it makes a huge difference as compared to the acrylic/shell stuff that you can get. This stuff is just a million times nicer in the hands. Much more solid and stable too. Wedge is Orange G10. Pics don't do it justice, etc.

What a stunna !
I suppose you know 'Etoile means 'star' - Aptly named. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Nice one!
St. Etienne is a city in Eastern France.
MRE means Manufacture I guess.
FSE means Française I guess.
