Does anyone know what the wedges of these NON.XLL's are made of? I just picked on up in excellent condition for 10 dollars!! the guy had no idea and said it was just junk because it needed to be sharpened. we will see what my stones say about that. Anyway the wedge seems to be made of a soft metal such as lead considering that I accidentally scratched it with my fingernail. Any ideas?

Lead and pewter are the most common for those old blades.
