Quick Frameback Restoration
Won a Erik Anton Berg frameback on a swedish bidding site a couple of days ago.
When I got it I was suprised, the scales were tight and nice, thought I was going to do a rescale, but decided to keep the original celluiod scales. And only sand/polish the scales and blade.
Now I just have to hone it up and testshave..
On the box it says:
Erik Anton Berg
Eskistuna
Gold medal;Stockholm 1897,Paris 1900.
And on the spine it says: Awarded in Malmö 1881
On the scales someone has engraved C.Jonsson
Anyone got any idea how old it might be?Can it really be from around 1900?
Anyway here are some before/after pics, sorry about the bad pics,it does'nt do the razor justice.

Nice Job.
I would imagine the test shave will be passed with flying colours. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Very nice work! I just took a Swedish frame back out of the polisher last night but it still needs pinned and honed. I'm glad to hear it's a good shaver.
