I love thumb notches too! Got a heljestrand just for that reason. That looks great & it's not often ebuy photo's are worse than the real thing. I can't believe how well balanced it looks after all that butchery!

Thanked: 735I was lusting after the new LeGrelot 1/4 grinds at Raurpur, but couldn't justify getting one, as I already have a 1/4 grind LeGrelot. So I installed a thumbnotch myself!

Tally Ho's are great shavers, I regret letting go of the couple I've sold.

She took a beautiful shine. Great job. Do you mind sharing what process you did to bring that out?

It's called hand sanding. A laborious and brutal process
The finish actually isn't a mirror finish, more of a "shiny" finish. There are some remaining scratches, and pitting that I left there in honor of it being a 150 year old razor.
(OK, OK...so I left them there 'cause I'm lazy like that!)

Kool Kustomising & a big +1 for 'shiny non mirror finishes.' Guess I'm lazy too
