J.A Henckels Twin Works 401 ~ revived
This one was a project I worked on for several months as it really needed lots of work.
The blade itself looked pretty sick. It also came with some cheap plastic yellow scales. So I spend truly lots of time in between my daily work and other projects completely cleaning up the blade. Had to remove lots of crap and went through the whole restoration process of sanding, grinding all the way to the polishing and buffing part.
Since I was looking for scales that would match the blade I spend weeks looking for the right scales which I finally found. I was looking for something that would closely match the cracked ice/marble look as some of the original Twin Works have.
I had some leftover bolsters (or whatever you call them) to put on the scales, a few of those old washers that I recuperate when removing older or destroyed scales.
Anyway, here's the final result. I'm pretty satisfied knowing this blade was close to R.I.P. The only few blemishes I decided to not completely remove are a few remaining residual stains around the colored symbols and lettering on the tang as I didn't want to loose the original red paint. The blade itself is pretty much immaculate with a mirror shine finish.

Very, very nice Max. Seems like you burned a lot of candles working on that one. It was well worth it from the looks of the finished razor.
