Just finished up #2 (well, it's not honed yet...) the french point looks a bit spotty , as it's oiled up.

They look great! I really like the transparent acrylic scales. I didn't think I'd like a modern looking material like that, but it just looks clean and sharp. Really put the focus back on the tang work of the razor. Nice Job!

Look great to me. I wonder if rounding the square corners of the scales-- just a teeny bit-- would look good?

Thanked: 735Yeah. I tried that on my first prototype, but becuse of the optical effect it is very intolerant of any angular error.
If I went for a frosted effect on the entire scale then rounding over the edges would be a good option, but with the clear scales, the contrast of any misalignment is plainly visible.
