If I may ask, what exactly did you use for the pins?
Your pictures show torx heads on both sides of the scales.
I looked around the site you linked and was not able to find any nuts to match the screws.
I looked further and saw that they offer pivots (which would yield the same result as your work), however the smallest size pivot (threaded tube) was 1/8".
