    Default Pirola in Afzelia Xy-Lay

    This is the first time I have used Afzelia. This was a nicely figured piece of wood but is quite difficult to catch the figuring in the photo. The finishe is epoxy resin. You can see it here and there. Afzelia is from Cambodia if you were wondering, and hard to come by.

    This is a Pirola round point 6/8 razor that I gave a buff but it is a NOS blade so it just needed a shine.

    The photo's do hint at how the light plays on thiose scales, but i'm sure they don't do them justice!
