Here is the impulse buy from Fleabay:

What can I say? I liked the sweep of the spine...

    Gave it some workshop lovin'.....

Now I have a thumbnotched, JumboJimped, French point with Cherry over red acrylic scales with clear acrylic spacer. I can't let the DAs have all the fun!

    Test shave is tomorrow night.

cool idea, what size screws and threaded inserts are you using on that? Did you drill out the pivot hole?

2-56 screws and inserts from McMasterCarr.

I used to countersink teh round head screws, this time I got flat head screws, and I think it cleaned up the look a bit.

I love the transformation to the steel! It looked nice enough before, but that'll stand out in any collection now. Very nice!

You are getting really good at transforming the mundane into something really snazzy. There are a lot of great ideas in this razor, the scales, the pins, and the blade.

You are doing some very innovative things.

That is impressive. The treatment of the blade with the thumb notch adds so much. I really like the "jumbo jimps."
