Faultless Razor Nr. 35 - F.A. Koch & Co. N.Y - G10 2x2 layered
Here's a gorgeous looking Faultless Razor Nr. 35 - F.A. Koch & Co. N.Y which was made in Germany.
Cleaned up extremely well with just a few tiny residual pits. It has those beveled edges on the spine, a notched tang with jimps and the blade for its size has a nice hefty feel to it.
The scale material used is a new 2x2 layered G10 Black/Tan which actually through the sanding and buffing process bleeds into more off a grayish tint.
For the wedge I used a gray acrylic version and silver nickle washers, spacers and rod which made everything look very uniform in color.

MAX !
Beauty and classy. You really nail those down so well with your work. Love the pin work it is truely flawless.
Scales are sweet and well shaped and have a nice flowing design.
Blade... man you got a great eye for style. Its a real slick and not often seen blade, especially in that condition !
Bravo !

Great job with that razor. I like the combination of materials - a well polished blade, nickel silver and black and white.
You did an outstanding job with the scales. It takes a lot of precision in the shaping of layered material with such contrasting layers.

Thanked: 151Beautiful Work,
AS for you reply on one of my questions about a mirror finish. Even the VooDoo witch has a potion. I tried a different polish and method and it seems its more about the time and patience than the materials.
Beautiful Work!

That is a good looking restore. I don't own any razors scaled in it, but i'm loving the look of g10 at the moment!
