James Barlow & Sons - manufacturers sheffield - Bocote
Here's a James Barlow & Sons, manufacturers sheffield, corporate mark ECHO. This was a complete restore with Bocote scales.
I had some of the old vintage domed washers laying around which I used for this razor.
I added a 3rd pin partly because the tang was pretty wide and Bocote is not what I consider a flexible wood. Very hard and sturdy with a gorgeous pattern and color. It love to use Bocote with the older 1800's razors.
Blade has a nice smiling spine and barbers notch. Cleaned up very nice with barely any noticeable blemishes.

Thanked: 151I like the Bacote wood. I have used it before and it is amazing to me the amount of variation and pattern differences you can achieve with it. The old washers and coloration to me is great. It looks like I would have imagined it when it was new. Great Work!

Nice Max. The standard is, as usual, higher than most of us will ever achieve!
