Thanked: 13245"Wicked Wade de Butcher" 6/8 Custom re-grind
OK yes I am having fun with some of the names on these.
This was a standard Barber's Notch Faux Frameback W&B 6/8...
I ground out the Barber's Notch into a curvy Spanish point and reground the heel with a reverse curve... I liked the way all the curves came together....With the sway back, the smiling blade, the humped back tang, and the thumb notch she has curves to spare....
After hours of sanding and buffing I almost got rid of all the old pitting marks...
The scales are called "Lava Red" acrylic and they are semi-transparent... I decided to get a little fancy on them and add a 3rd pin just for fun (note the scales are not stressed from this addition) ... The center pin post is brass tube to match all the brass pins and washers... I am hoping to get this honed up either tonight or tomorrow...

Thanked: 77Very Nice! Tremendous pin work too.
I always get excited when I see a point at the heel and get inspired to try something like that. Then I remember "crap, all my razors have shoulders...".Last edited by Quick; 03-19-2009 at 09:40 AM.
