Default Dovo #25 ~ Germany ~ Abalone acrylic

This Dovo was a custom and special request.

Basically the blade needed a reground to remove all stains and I got asked to design and make the scales as requested.

The Dovo started as a 11/16 round point. After all the work it ended up being a 5/8. I also made a French point as this was a better match with the scales. Narrowed the monkey tail a tad too.

For the scales the choice went for the 100% Abalone shell with black backing and acrylic coating. The wedge holds together with a waterproof CA that will hold an elephant upside down on the ceiling.

The balance of the razor is just perfect.

This one will be going to New York.

    Brand: Dovo #25 Germany
    Grind: Full Hollow
    Width: 5/8
    Total weight: 1.6 Oz
    Total cutting edge: 2.75 inches
    Scales: 100% Abalone shell/ Acrylic
    Wedge: Transparent Acrylic
    Pins/Washers: Nickel silver/Brass

    Very Cool Max.

The shape of the scales bring to mind ocean life and tentacles...

    Nice.

Surprisingly enough the balance is just perfect on this combination and it really has a perfect grip.

Some customers come with their own designs and or ideas as what they would like. It makes it challenging at times but also very rewarding.

Besides the snake or fish symbol it also reminds me a bit of customized chopper by one of the Tuttles from the Orange County Choppers team...

This looks great, but I really want to see the elephant hanging from the ceiling!

Nice one Max. Very organic shaped scales. Minus the blade, could almost double as a fishing lure.
