I quite like the non mirror finish scales but if you're going to modify the shape definitely remove the blade.
Murphy's law ya know.??The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

I like everything about the look of that razor, Im not understanding the neg comments. I also like the "Man " size scales , there not puny and tapered skinny at the pivot point like most I see. Im not sure that you have to make them look like all the other razors and there are definilty some that are going to like the look of this very much, like myself. How much are you going to sell this one for??

Thanked: 151THanks for the positive comments because they are great for the ego. But, the people here with the negative comments have far more experience and knowledge with these things than I do. THey are also not really being negative as they are perfectionists like I am. If I didn't want the honest comments I wouldn't post them in the forums, besides that I get to hear opposing views and its great for learning. I listed it last night and it sold while I was in bed. I contacted the buyer via email and he said he liked it the way it was. I sold it for the listing price (I asked probably too much, but I will hone twice per year for as long as the owner uses it for free, and if he does not like the scales I will make him new ones at no cost and will probably make him another set in wood as well so he will have an extra set for free if he ever wants to change them.) I did not really want to sell it, but I am about to take course work for the USMLE Step 2 and the cost is $800. THe razors are helping me pay for my education supplies ie. books, courses, etc.. I am not in business per se, I just really need the money so I sold it. If anyone wants the break down of the cost or how I figure prices they can PM me for the details, because I do not want to make people who have graciously let me sell these razors upset. If I am able to acquire more of these choppers I will probably do things a little different, but he buyer wants it "as is" and if he is unhappy in any way I will give him his money back plus the cost of him shipping it back to me. WHne I get my degree and have a better income, I will start collecting and placing these in picture frame type stands on my walls in my home. My personal set is up to 7 but I am exchanging them here and there because I want all 13/16 Sheffields with square points, full hollow ground. Once I achieve this and get through school, I will sell no more!
Thanks for the comments!
